Eine Familie und ihr Schicksal
Niemand ist eine Insel; niemand ist allein.
Der Mensch ist ein soziales Tier, und in gewisser Hinsicht definieren unsere Verbindungen zueinander unsere Identität. Im Spektrum des Lebens erscheinen wir als vielschichtige Wesen, lebendig und wechselhaft, jeden Moment in neuen Farben schillernd, in Harmonie oder Disharmonie mit den uns Umgebenden. Aber bleibt uns da ein innerer Kern, ein Selbst, tief verborgen und unberührbar? Und wie sehr ist dieses Selbst maskiert vom Mosaik unserer Farben und Muster, von unseren Gewohnheiten?
Wir werden zumeist in ein gegebenes Umfeld geboren, eine ganz bestimmte Farbkomposition: unsere Familie. Dort ist es, wo wir herkommen, unsere Geschichte, unser primärer Aktionsradius. Unser Verwoben-Sein in unsere Familie reicht tief und weit, ob wir es mögen oder nicht. Wir haben es uns nicht ausgesucht Teil derselben zu sein, wir sind es einfach.
In dieser schillernd-bunten Familie, zu welcher Farbe sind wir geboren? Und zu welcher werden wir? Wählen wir wirklich unseren Weg frei oder ist Schicksal im Spiel? Wie weit ist ein Weg in die Freiheit? Und: Wollen wir wirklich frei sein, auch auf die Gefahr hin, die zu uns Gehörenden zu verlieren?

A Family and its Destiny
No one is an island; no one stands alone.
The human being is a social animal, and in a way our connections with one another define our personal identities. In the spectrum of life we appear as multifaceted beings; vivid and changeable, every moment dressing in different colors to create harmony or disharmony with the people around us. But do we each have a deep, untouchable kernel of self? And how masked is that self by our collage of colors, patterns, and habits?
When we are born, most of us are born into a given environment, a particular composition of color, our family. It is the place where we come from, our history and our action field. Our ties to family are deep and wide, whether we like it or not. We didn't decide to be part of our family, we just are.
In this screaming rainbow of family, what colors are we born with, and what colors do we become? Do we really choose our path or is there a destiny that plays with us? How long is the way to freedom? Do we really want to be free, even if it means loosing the selves that we know?
